ACCOMMODATIONS

In northeastern Argentina, the Iguazu River, a tributary of the Parana River, forms the world's most famous waterfalls. This hotel, the only located within Iguazú National Park, is right next to it. With outstanding views of the Iguazu Falls from its rooms, an infinity pool, and dining options, it embodies a unique experience: staying before one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.

Gran Meliá Iguazú boasts a unique location in the world, RedLevel exclusivity and Yasi Spa rituals. To access the hotel, located within the National Park, it is mandatory to purchase a ticket per person through the website of the Iguazú National Park and show it at the hotel reception upon check-in. Guests can access whenever they want during their stay by making a single prior payment.

Arm’s reach within art galleries, trendy restaurants and shopping meccas, Sofitel Buenos Aires Recoleta positions you amid the most exclusive neighborhoods of Argentina’s capital.

Stately architecture fuses with bold modern design in our public spaces, while luxurious amenities and furnishings define our accommodations. Recoleta’s vibrant local culture blends seamlessly with French art de vivre at Sofitel where our sustainability efforts have earned us Hoteles más Verdes certification.

Sink into a soft MyBed™ or settle into a plush armchair and recharge in our chic accommodations. Pamper yourself in luxurious bathrooms with a soaking tub and separate shower. Picture windows offer garden or city vistas.

Park Hyatt Mendoza, with its magnificent twentieth century French academy neoclassical façade, is a prestigious and emblematic five-star hotel. FAQS

This section is provided to assist you in common questions or concerns we receive related to CULTURAL ARGENTINA and travel to this amazing destination.  If you do not see an answer to your questions here please reach out to us for assistance.

What is Cultural Argentina?

  • Isenhour International and AWA Meetings both were working to host a Cuba Experience for qualified customers in 2020.   Covid-19 prevented those efforts from happening.  In late 2020 both companies decided to work collectively to make a Cuban Experience a reality and Cultural Cuba was born with the success of an inaugural program in June 2022.  The 2024 iteration will be an exceptional educational and cultural trip for attendees to an amazing Caribbean destination.

Who is eligible to attend?

  • Cultural Argentina is open to anyone.  While you have to meet the Department of Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control criteria to receive your travel visa; I.I. and A.W.A. will work with you to ensure you qualify and meet our expectations for the educational and cultural aspects of the trip.

Is it Safe?

  • Absolutely!  I.I. representatives and A.W.A. representatives have made multiple trips to Argentina to evaluate the country and prepare for Cultural Agentina groups.  Additionally, Alchemy DMC, our local DMC provider, is well versed in the Argentinian experience and will ensure all aspects of your wellbeing and safety are taken into consideration.  Argentina is a beautiful and safe LATAM destination with a wealth of history and culture.  The Argetninian people are very welcoming to visitors and show exceptional hospitality.

Who are our Hosts?

  • In the Meet the Host's section below you will find background information on all three of your host partners:

  • Isenhour International

  • AWA Meetings & Events

  • Alchemy DMC - Destination Management Company

Is the technology and infrastructure up to par?

  • Argentina has a wonderful modern infrastructure.  Cellular services work well there across the country in most areas.

  • Wifi access is strong in all of our hotels and many locations across the cities we will be in.

Is a VISA required to travel to Argentina?

  • No VISA is required for US Citizens to travel to Argentina

Who will be our Points of Contacts while in Argentina?

  • You will have a representative from Isenhour International, AWA Meetings & Events, and Alchemy Tours DMC all on site with you each day and at every activity and outing.  You will continually have access to us to handle any needs and concerns you have during your trip.

What do I do about money and payments in Argentina?

  • You will need to bring cash for expenses beyond items included in your package price.  You can convert USD to ARS (Argentinian Peso) when you are there.  The current exchange rate is 962 ARS to 1 USD.  You should plan accordingly for how much you expect to spend while in Argentina.  Take into account tips, gratuities, additional meals, drinks and beverages, souvenir items, etc.

Can I use my Credit Cards in Argentina?

  • Absoultey, your credit cards will work there as long as you arrange with your credit card company for international travel.

What airfare is included in the package price?

  • Each Attendee is responsible for purchasing their own international airfare separate from the package price.  This would be your airfare from the US to Iguazu Falls and then your airfare from Mendoza back to the US.  We will work hand-in-hand with you to ensure you book the appropriate airfare and find you the best pricing available.

  • Your inner country airfare IS INCLUDED in your package price.  These will be your flights from Iguazu Falls to Buenos Aires and from Buenos Aires to Mendoza.  Those are already arranaged and you will not need to do anything as we will arrange these for you.

Can I stay longer than the 7 nights/8 days?

  • Yes, this is an option on a case-by-case basis and would be at an additional cost.  If you wish to extend your stay pre/post the Feb 20-27 dates, please reach out to us and discuss your options.
